California OEHHA Withdraws Proposed Amendments to Prop 65 Short Form Warning

Jun 7, 2022

The California OEHHA sent the following notice out to all interested parties who submitted comments on the proposed rulemaking:

“The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is informing you that it was unable to complete rulemaking within the allotted time to amend sections of the California Code of Regulations related to the short-form safe harbor warnings under Proposition 65 (Register No. Z2020-1229-01) (Title 27, sections 25601, 25602, 25603, and 25607.2).  You are receiving this email because you commented orally or in writing during this rulemaking process.

OEHHA intends to restart (highlight ours) the rulemaking process on the short-form with a new regulatory proposal, informed by comments on the previous proposal, in the next several weeks. Public notice and an opportunity to comment on that proposal will be provided.
